Emblem Quilt

"During America's Camp's second summer, Larry Levy presented the camp with a large embossed emblem with the shields of both the fire fighters and police officers of NYC. It was a gift that needed to be shared and displayed for everyone. I designed a quilt with the emblem as the focal point. Done in red, white, and blue, the quilt measured approximately 6' x 8'. All the campers and staff signed their names on the front. Behind the emblem, I made a pocket and at closing ceremonies, campers and staff members could write a wish and slip it in the pocket for posterity. It was then sewn shut to keep the wishes safe and private."
